A Word About Bluecoats

Bluecoats Inc., is a nonprofit organization comprising Summit County community leaders who support the morale and well-being of the safety forces. Bluecoats provides financial aid to the men and women of the fire, police and sheriffs’ departments who become disabled in the line of duty and to the dependents of those who lose their lives.

Although employer-provided benefits for the safety forces have improved greatly since the founding of Bluecoats in 1959, a need remains for the  supplemental benefits that Bluecoats provides, including aid for catastrophic need beyond the officers’ control, and grants for both undergraduate and continuing education.

You can help Bluecoats support the nearly 2000 officers in Summit County who put their lives on the line for our community every day. Proceeds of this event will help Bluecoats Inc. fulfill its mission to “preserve and enhance the well-being and morale of the members of the safety forces through emergency support and preparation for service.”
